For over 50 years, West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe has served customers around the country and has become a local gem for people near and far. Owners Mark and Linda Lutz took over the store in 2002 keeping the tradition alive. Mark says:
“Combining our years of experience in the cheese industry with our experience in selling the finest award winning Wisconsin Cheeses and specialty foods helps create our recipe for success. It’s not uncommon for us to remember your names and have a nice chat, people love to talk and so do we, not to mention sampling cheese.”
West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe has served customers around the country and has become a destination in Milwaukee. Literally hundreds of people from all 50 states share an annual tradition placing a holiday order or receiving gifts from our family store, or stopping in when they travel back to Wisconsin.
We are proud to supply our award winning cheeses and excellent customer service at two locations throughout Wisconsin. The original Shoppe is located in the heart of West Allis, where it all began 50 years ago. You can also find us at the Milwaukee Public Market, the most popular tourist attraction in the Milwaukee area. Both our shops include a café that offers a full Breakfast and Lunch menu with freshly brewed coffee, bakery items, and much more.
In our shops we carry a large selection of Wisconsin Cheeses and imported cheeses, many of which are award winning. We also carry a complete offering of handmade sausages and brats. As well as a wide selection of Wisconsin Specialty Foods, including jams, jellies, honey, syrups, spreads, candies and more. Our complete food selection will compliment and pair nicely with any cheese purchase or gift basket to satisfy even the pickiest of cheese aficionados. To complete an unforgettable shopping experience we offer a full Breakfast and Lunch Menu with an array of items. Visit us at both our locations for a cheese slice of life.

“There is a difference between dining and eating. Dining is an art. When you eat to get most out of your meal, to please the palate, just as well as to satiate the appetite, that, my friend, is dining.”Yuan Mei

This is one of my absolute favorite places in West Allis. I'm very big on trying the monthly special sandwich and have not been dissatisfied yet! Be sure to get there early because it gets very busy due to the limited hours. If haven't yet been, you absolutely must go!
I came here for brunch and now it's one of my favorite places! Poutine can be hard to find, and their breakfast poutine is available all day and such a good combination on top of fries. The whole menu looked appetizing and I'll definitely be going back to try their sandwiches and custom grilled cheeses. They also have another location in the Milwaukee Public Market, but this location is much bigger with a lot more seating options.
My fiance and I stopped here for lunch for the first time today. Great and friendly service, quick ticket time, and absolutely delicious food. I had the meatball sandwich and he had the Breakfast Skillet Deluxe-both were perfect and not to mention, covered in cheese! We definitely will be back!
